Champlin Park Marching Rebels

“Recapping the 2006 summer parade season, what we have always tried to do at Champlin Park is blend new things with tradition and pair those. But the biggest thing of our summer season is we really strongly believe in getting new students to transition successfully into high school. The marching band is really a catalyst to a great social start, a great musical start, to the school year.

I directed the Marching Rebels from 1992-2000 and then again from 2003 to 2006. As far as the highlights of those years, you know there are just too many to mention but what I can tell you is that every single year had special stories and every story involved people and that is what this organization has always been, and will continue to be about. Young men and young women, growing, learning, sharing and taking care of one another. Long from now we are going to forget the scores and we are going to forget the trophies but we are never going to forget those people that walked that walk with us, who were there to support us when we needed some help personally, and also the people that we really took care of. That is really what makes this organization one of a kind and so amazing.”
